We need You!

Lithuanian Accordionists Association (LAA) was founded in 1986. Many years have passed since that time, but people who have founded it, honestly serve their association and their aim. As young professional accordion art representatives we have to pay all our respect to what is created today. Join the activity of LAA organization is one of the ways for showing our thankful respect. The best example is the 12th international accordion music festival in Vilnius, organized by Raimondas Sviackevičius and his leaded young people group, which brought not only national interest, high evaluation and success, but sounded aboard as well. The next accordion festivals are coming up. It would be interesting and useful for you to join and organize such international events, wouldn’t it?  That’s why joining the LAA Youth section you will have such a right which will give you joy and useful experience. You will also have a possibility to meet and communicate with honoured festival guests and performers. For a young and just starting person it is very useful and important to watch, learn and gather the information.

LAA Youth section region groups and their establishment

For a fluent LAA Youth section’s organization work we have decided to group young accordionists according to the regions of the country - Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai and Panevėžys. Join your region group which will be established during the year and involved into the Youth section. Youngsters over 16 can become an official LAA members. You’ll get a unique identification card. Every region group will have their leaders who will organize the local activity of the young accordionists group. The leaders and the basic group members will be chosen during the Youth sections’ meetings in every region. Be active joining the Youth section, readily participate in your regions’ activity which will involve you into the republic organizational and artistical activity.

LAA Youth meetings

During the meeting in August there was decided to activate and unify Lithuanian young accordionists gathering to the meetings in different cities every time. As the members of Youth section we will go to the regions lacking of energy and activity. The first city is Klaipėda. This city doesn’t lack of accordionists, but we don’t have close contacts between. That’s why we go to Klaipėda to establish the region group, to choose a leader, to discuss, communicate and make friends. Later, according to the act, the meeting will be held in the other city while all the system will start working and developing. There are plans to make systematic meetings and big events.

LAA assembly and youngsters meeting in 2010

During the traditional Palanga accordion festival in 2010 not only concerts and master classes will be organized, but the assembly held every five year will take part, too. New council will be chosen, decisions taken and all the important information given. During the Youth sections meeting we hope to gather the biggest part of young Lithuanian accordionists. Youth sections’ members will attend in LAA assembly as legal members with the right of voting. That’s why Palanga festival 2010 has the artistical and organizing significance. 

Possibility to create and realize ideas

Young and creative people often bristle with difficulties when their ideas remain unrealized. Joining the ungovernmental organization is the way to have a possibility to realize your innovative ideas and to be in a part organizing other projects. That organization is LAA and Youth section is its’ subdivision. Juridical status lets the association get a support for different projects.

 

Youth accordion summer academy in near future

During LAA Youth meeting in Palanga in 2009 there was decided to organize an international Youth accordion academy – camp. This 2 week lasting project would invite  famous and honourable pedagogues from abroad who would give master classes for Youth academy students. Also different ensembles and orchestras would be able to join. Such a unique possibility in Lithuania would widen a musical view and give a new experience for students, also would make new international connections.

To realize this idea, we have to be sure whether it is enough important and useful. That‘s why we have to have a close connection with every young accordionist. To have this close connection we creat a Jouth section of Lithuanian accordionist association. Even reading this text you become a part of it. Just an official desition and filling an application is needed.
